Matt Koesters, Senior Account Executive

An award-winning storyteller, Matt brings more than 15 years of combined experience in journalism, public relations, and marketing to bear for Rasor’s clients.

Matt’s writing career took off in the Indiana suburbs of Louisville, Kentucky, during his six years with the News and Tribune. There, he served for two years as the paper’s sports editor and led coverage of 13 area high schools across two counties. He spent the balance of his time in Southern Indiana covering municipal and county government, economic development, transportation, general assignments, features and entertainment.

He won numerous awards for journalistic excellence from the Hoosier State Press Association and the Associated Press, as well as twice being named CNHI reporter of the year. Matt is also a past recipient of the Indiana High School Wrestling Coaches Association Media Award, which makes him a wrestling hall-of-famer.

But as a Cincinnati native, it was always Matt’s goal to come back to the Queen City. Since returning to his hometown in 2015, Matt has written for The Cincinnati Enquirer, the Cincinnati Business Courier and WCPO.com, along with a host of private clients ranging from industry associations to marketing firms. He served for nearly five years as a Public Information Officer with his alma mater, the University of Cincinnati, where he helped earn coverage for the university’s most critical strategic initiatives.  He continues to contribute to the Enquirer to this day as its craft beer columnist.

Matt holds bachelor’s degrees in Journalism and English Literature from the University of Cincinnati.
