Jeff Davis, APR, Counselor
A former daily newspaper reporter, Jeff has more than two decades of experience in social media, PR, crisis communications and public affairs strategy.
His transportation and infrastructure experience includes PR and social media for the Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA), Baltimore City Department of Transportation, the Port of Baltimore, Thurgood Marshall BWI Airport, and the Maryland Aviation Administration.
As MDTA’s first social media lead, Jeff launched and managed the agency’s Facebook, Instagram and X accounts, making MDTA an early adopter among transportation agencies. Under his direction, social media became a central communications tool for crisis messaging, public education and event promotion.
His other client experience includes the American Occupational Therapy Association, Boeing Network & Space Systems, CVS/MinuteClinic, Honeywell, Kaiser Permanente, Major League Baseball Properties, Pfizer Animal Health, Rubbermaid, and the U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps and Office of the Surgeon General.
Jeff has provided counsel and strategic messaging on crises ranging from hurricanes and high-profile accidents to sensitive personnel and legal matters.
A three-time PRSA Maryland president, he serves as regional editor for the Capitol Communicator in Washington, D.C. and is co-founder of D.C.-based Podville Media, where he co-hosted the “Practically Social” podcast. He currently heads the “Meet the Media” series for the National Press Club.
Jeff holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism from Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, Ohio.
