I am organized to the point of being neurotic. I love my binders full of decorating ideas, paint swatches and fabric samples. I have images of beautifully set tables that I reference when entertaining and I even created a recipe book using a photo album so I can easily see my recipes with a simple flip of the page.
So, when I was first introduced to Pinterest, I enthusiastically created pages for all of my interests- from cooking to travel to crafts and decorating ideas, even going so far as to come up with clever names for each. I began following friends and re-pinning things of interest.
And then, I just didn’t*. I stopped pinning and re-pinning. I quit inviting people to follow me. I stopped “liking” things. It just got to be too much. I never found myself actually using Pinterest for anything. Plain old Google searches replaced Pinterest for recipes, images, ideas, etc. It was just easier for some reason.
Now, my favorite part of Pinterest isn’t really Pinterest at all. It is the Pinterest Nailed It feeds (that I usually see on Facebook). By FAR my favorite is the hedgehog cake. Just hysterical. Every. Single. Time.
Tell me, do you still Pinterest? Or is it becoming a passing fad?
*Full disclosure- it’s been so long since I’ve been on my own Pinterest board, I had to go look at it as I was writing this blog to see, what exactly, I have on my own page.
