The Client: The Health Alliance, the largest healthcare system in Greater Cincinnati, comprised of the area’s leading hospitals
Their Challenge: “We just purchased a new life-saving ‘smart’ I.V. pump and need to distribute it across our six-hospital health system. There are strict safety controls and we need to do this in six months.”
Our Solution: A survey of employees about the new technology, interviews with key representatives from the vendor company and client champions to clearly develop the safety and “What’s in it for me” messages that would resonate with nurses and clinicians; a proactive communications strategy and a myriad of materials, all topped off with an active media relations campaign.
The Results: Positive news coverage and exactly what our client wanted, a documented reduction of medication errors and more than 85 percent compliance, the highest in the country.
