Cabela’s Grand Opening
The Client: Cabela’s, the worlds’ largest direct marketer of hunting, fishing, camping and related outdoor merchandise
Their Challenge: “We’re opening our first store in the Greater Cincinnati market (second in Ohio) and want to make a big splash with local media.”
Our Solution: Leading media training of spokespersons, compiling the right list of contacts, pitching a media preview day to our local network of reporters, providing on-site coordination and summarizing results in a comprehensive media report.
The Results: Four million media impressions in local outlets including seven television stations across two major markets, three daily papers, business journals and more. Almost as impressive as the archer who cut the grand opening ribbon from 100 feet with a bow and arrow. (We like to think we had our own version of hitting the bull’s eye.)
